One week!

Image
Luella has been home one week now. We celebrated with raspberries.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLA!!

Image
Kyla turned 28 today and celebrated with friends and family at the house. There was BBQ, gifts, cards, good times, and of course - cake. Not just one cake, but two! Luella appeared to have a good time also. As a matter of fact she got so excited she spit up on one of the guests, filled her diaper, then fell asleep. A great time was had by all! Tim

Maybe the cat needs to go on a diet...

Welcome Home Luella!

One last feeding before going home! Putting on the last bit of clothing before going home. All buckled up, ready for the ride! Go Daddy! Go-go gadget car seat ! "Big Brother" Goobers checking out that squealing thing who cries...we want to say he's giving her kitty kisses, but you can't see his bushy tail. So far at home Miss Luella took a walk outside to meet the neighbors. She took a 2 hour nap while Mom and Dad ate lunch and took mini-naps. Then she ate for 1 1/2 hours and gave Dad the first diaper to change! Now we are watching football. Just the first of many lazy Sunday afternoons!

24 Hours Young...

It's a Girl!

Sikorski Saga It's official, Luella Theresa Sikorski was born Thursday, 7 September 2006 at 3:54 PM. She weighed in at 7lbs, 5.1oz, and is 20.5 inches long. The labor was pretty exciting, Luella's heart rate kept dropping which resulted in a Cesarean section. She had a pneumothorax (partially inflated lung), but with some oxygen and antibiotics Luella recovered nicely. As of 10:00 AM Friday she was off of oxygen and feeding. Kyla recovered quickly from the c-section as well, and is up and walking around as much as she can - mainly to the nursery to spend time with Luella. Kyla, Luella and I appreciate everybody's thoughts and prayers and we can't wait to show her off in person! Tim

Happy Anniversary!

Tim and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary on Sunday! We spent a lovely day together at home. Tim grilled steaks and baked potatoes - all served on our good china. Tim even got me fake champagne ! I made chocolate cupcakes for dessert. The top of our wedding cake is still at Mom and Dad's house, so we'll have to wait until they visit to celebrate that tradition. We thought Luella would decide to "crash" our anniversary party, but she's defiantly doing things her way. We're still waiting to meet our little girl.
