Videos from the family reunion

Tom is demonstrating how the 1928 player piano plays itself and Luella isn't the only one who is fascinated. Happy Days are here again! Luella tries to play along! Okay, who let this kid play the organ?!

Standing at the door saying good-bye for the last 30 minutes - Phil, Francis, Kristen, Bryan, Tom and Becky, as we are leaving too!

Wednesday's Playdates!

Image
Luella in her stroller at Broom's Bloom. Crystal and Ashlynn Hudson . Chas and Haleigh Wiener , Mandy and Cindi Gibson, and Pastor Paige Evers. Happy Birthday Chas! The girls down on the farm! Broom's Bloom is a dairy farm and restaurant with the best ice cream! Ian Riisager came by later in the day. He looks like such a little boy now!

A fabulous weekend!

Image
Luella thinks it's her turn to be the guitar hero! Luella loves the big buckets in the nursery. Especially when Daddy rolls her around in the bucket on the floor! Tim and Luella hugging after PIZZA! Tim thought today was a great day to start the landscaping! Tim got rid of the big mound of dirt in the back yard. It only took about 20 minutes, and we wished we'd done it sooner! It is the future home of our new fire pit. Kyla's only contribution to our landscaping, saying, "Honey, why don't we get hanging plants for the garden?" So we all picked out our favorites. Luella's is the blue, Tim's the white, and Kyla's the purple/orange. Tim decided to plant strawberries! Let's hope the bunnies and squirrels don't eat them first! Amazingly the chives and parsley survived the winter season. We didn't know they were perennials ! Our lilacs and irises will be in full bloom soon!

First crab picking of 2008!

Image
Okay, this is one thing we'll miss when the Army moves us out of Maryland someday. All those steamed crabs with Old Bay seasoning fresh for the picking! Tim helping one of the crabs to "pinch" Luella. She's getting smart by counter- attacking with the spoon!

Bedtime story!

Luella learned that hitting or hurting others is a NO-NO! She's learned she must say "sorry" and give a hug and kiss. Tim reads her a bedtime story where Barbie is a fashion designer and her clothing line is sure to be a big hit! Luella apologizes for Barbie.

Growing up cute!

Image
Here Luella is in the midst of a tantrum. Mommy just had to take her camera away from the girl. Aren't you glad this isn't a video?! Luella is such a little parrot! BAWK ! (PS - if you call and we don't immediately answer the phone between 7:30-9:00pm, this is why! Our daughter is too adorable to miss a second at bath and bedtime!)

Our videos from NYC!

Luella found a trike at a park and loves it! Luella also found a soccer ball to play with her daddy. Tilt your head left to see some amazing street performers! Shane was called out to be part of the street performance. Unfortunately, the video of the guy doing a flip, jumping over five people's backs, was too big for this blog. We ended Sunday by watching ice skaters in Rockefeller Center. Two little girls played with Luella earlier in the day at Central Park. We were amazed at the cross section of the population with the Dead Head skating with a rabbi.

Another fun day at the park!

Image
Luella picked these just for you! She looks like such a big girl swinging!

Tim's the guitar hero and Luella his groupie!

Thank goodness for the tax refund! Tim splurged and bought us a Nintendo W ii with Guitar Hero. Luella loves to dance and clap along while he plays.

How to hula hoop!

Luella teaches us all the proper way to hula hoop. She says if you're not dizzy at the end, you're doing it wrong! Thanks to the Easter Bunny for the hula hoop.

What does a cow say?

In this video, Luella tells Kyla what a cow says, what it smells like, and the colors of the flower. The ending is classic!

Luella loves soup!

Image
Luella shows off how she eats soup. Kyla thinks she learned this technique from Goobers. And the result of eating soup like Goobers is a messy face!

Luella loves the park!

Image
Here Luella is trying to conquer the monkey bars...or show off her new purple crocs ! Luella loves the swing most of all! (Aunt Kirsten, here's the budding trees. True it's not as impressive as 3,000 cherry trees all budding at the same time in the same place, but we didn't get down for the festival this year.)

Happy Birthday Mrs Lynnea!

Image
Luella really enjoyed the cupcakes for Lynn's birthday party! The "little girls" at the party - Luella, baby Hailey, Birthday Girl Lynnea, and Sigrid! The "big girls" at the party - Luella and Mandy! Kyla's finally acknowledging how different the stages of life are when your 29 th birthday party has half the attendees aged 2 or younger!

Driving Miss Daisy

Image
Kyla didn't think it was possible, but it was easier to grocery shop with BOTH Luella and Ian in the cart. They kept each other occupied while Kyla cruised their race car up and down the aisles . Carly and baby Will got their groceries easily too!
