Tis ' the age where play dates have potty breaks. Sarah was so proud to be a big girl like Luella! It was her first time going potty at a friend's house. (Her mommy gave me permission to post this picture.) Sarah Jurist came over for a play date while her mommy had to work. She got to practice being a big sister! Her baby brother should be here in April! The girls sitting on their thrones! Luella did really good this morning - 5 times on the potty wearing her underwear and no accidents! She just asked for her pull-up.

Katja's making the first moves for crawling! Until she gets up on those hands and knees, she's going to have a really rug-burnt forehead!

Luella watched the Gosselin girls (or "Plus Eight" as Luella calls them) get their toes painted for their parents' wedding renewal in Hawaii. She decided she wanted her toes painted too. Luella then decided that Kyla needed pretty toes too. Not just toe nails, but toes. It really tickled! Our finished pedicures!

Katja decided she likes to stand. So Luella decided that she and Daddy were ready to play London Bridge is Falling Down. Just because every kid has a back to back height picture with their siblings... Luella and Katja about a foot apart.

Where were we when the 44 th President was sworn in? In our living room, playing hard. Who's the new President, Luella? "Brock Obamba " in her words.

All my other blogger users, what's up with the double green underline? It's shown up for me anytime I type in anything about learning, Univeristy, school. I noticed it was on Lynnea's blog too, but forgot which word. I know it takes me to a link about education, but I don't want it to do that. I haven't clicked to turn my blog into a money making machine with google ads. So why is this happening? I wanted this site as an online scrapbook. I print out the pages. I don't want the links. How do I make them stop?!?!!?

Luella learning to use chopsticks during our family date tonight! She even tried sushi! (Of course we didn't give her the raw fish!) She got the shrimp tempura roll and really only liked the rice.

Who did Luella see? Bob, Lofty (who was sleeping), Wendy, and Spud (who got in big trouble). The way Luella's ponytail slipped out, I'm seeing her hair in a bob cut, and I really love her long hair! Luella got a Wendy pennant/flag thing from the performance and loves it!

Who's Luella going to Baltimore to see? Barock Obamba , as she likes to say. Really she is going to see Bob the Builder at the Lyric Opera House on a daddy/daughter date with Tim. President-Elect Barack Obama will be in Baltimore on his whistle stop tour to the inauguration . They'll only be about a mile away! Continued conversation...

Yesterday was our last day of baby freedom. Today Katja rolled over about 15 times! No longer can we expect her to be in the same place when we leave her on the floor.

If you leave Katja alone for a while, she falls asleep. Just like her daddy!

Just checking - yep, she's finally bigger than the cat, by quite a bit. Mom! Goobers is touching me! All fear the Alberta Clipper! The Alberta Clipper that ravaged the Midwest hit Maryland today. The high got to 24 degrees above zero and the snow that fell overnight accumulated and melted about an hour after I took this picture. Tomorrow the low is supposed to be 9 and high is 21 above zero. As I watched the highs in Fargo settle around -40 with wind chill, I wondered how I ever survived 24 winters in Montana and North Dakota/Minnesota. It's probably because I didn't know any better. Oh and the best part is that the schools here were closed or opened two hours late. Life continued as normal in the Midwest, but not so much here.

Luella got dress up clothes from the Grunnets . She decided to make Katja a princess for the day! Luella got a princess castle tent from her Great-Grandma Dot Sikorski . She's taken to sleeping in it for naps and at night! (I just found the safety info that says to never leave children unattended in the tent. Oops.) It's freaking me out, man! Luella has a renewed interest in her dolls and this one is the same size as Katja . I've done a few double takes wondering how Katja can sit up in a chair. Wait - it's the doll. Katja got this adorable onesie from her Auntie Kirstie from England. It says Merry Christmoose ! That is a fuzzy moose that Katja's covering up. Katja also got this semi-Santa hat that says Baby's 1st Christmas from Kat and Mike Ryan. It's supposed to be one size fits all, but not this noggin! Luella helping her daddy grout. Or not really. The bucket makes a great helmet! Luella actually initiated her hug for Katja . So cute! Other news,...
