Katja starts the morning with BABY POWER! Luella loves her bags and hats - it's two-in-one! The girls' play date at Annie's Playground. Luella leading Sigrid and Paige through the stairs. When we came home from church, Luella wanted to feed Katja . What a wonderful big sister! Luella checking out the dress up clothes she got from her cousin Laura. Luella loves twirling in her dress up clothes. Uncle Phil came to help celebrate Kyla's early birthday!

This is a blanket THANK YOU to all those who sent presents and cards for Katja's birth, our anniversary, Luella's birthday and my birthday. I've had lots of help opening the presents and cards. This help usually involves taking whatever from whoever and playing with it immediately. So if I'm late getting you a snail mail thank you - or you don't get one from me at all, know that what you sent was incredibly well loved - right out of the packaging! -Kyla

Luella had her two year old well-baby check up today. She is 36" tall and 32 pounds 4 ounces - which is 95% for both categories. Kyla found a formula on babycenter .com that predicts Luella will be 5'9" when she's 18 years old. That's an inch taller than Tim! Guess we'll find out in 16 years. She also got her last immunization (besides flu shots) for two years. She didn't even flinch, let alone cry! Such a big girl! Luella loves playing with hats and putting them on everyone. Katja looking good in her hat! Katja works hard to roll over. Kyla can't seem to get the roll on video. Katja is getting a stronger neck! She can hold her head up for seconds.

Luella loves America's Funniest Home Videos and is trying to win the money! Luella having dinner tonight. Finger painting with yogurt.

Luella gets her Daddy and Mommy singing the Happy Birthday song! Earlier today the Grunnets and Grammy and Granddaddy called to sing happy birthday too! Today Luella got to open three DVDs of Bob the Builder and Veggie Tales, and a portable DVD player. Let's hope it keeps her entertained in the plane when we fly to Sacramento at the end of this month! Luella also got two pairs of pajamas, a pair of boots and a pair of crocs that didn't make it to a gift bag or birthday for her to open!

Luella modeling Tim's hat! Go Niners! Here's what Hurricane/Tropical Storm Hanna looks like. We got lots of rain and a bit of wind. Thank God that we were fortunate enough to not lose electricity. Luella enjoyed her last 1-year old lunch of mac-n-pennies, bananas, and a birthday cupcake Paige made! There is a cute video of her singing Happy Birthday and blowing out a candle, but it's 5MB too big. Kyla will try to remember that for her 2-year old birthday cupcake!

Luella helped get Katja ready for her follow up check-up. As of September 5 th , Katja is 7 pounds 10 ounces and 19.5 inches long. Amazing growth in just one week! It may be a two-time fluke, but Kyla caught Katja rolling over twice from her tummy to her back. Just after midnight on the 4 th , Kyla went to change Luella's diaper. She put Katja down on her tummy in Luella's crib. After changing her diaper, Kyla tried to put Luella back in her crib, but Katja was on her back in the middle of the crib! The same thing happened the next morning. We thought Luella was quick rolling at three months - Katja's got her beat at three weeks!

Tim's in Texas, so it's a girls' world in the Sikorski Household. Since Katja has her bellybutton now, she got her first tub bath. She loved it! Poor girl is looking rough, but still adorable, with her baby acne. Kyla just had to get a photo of Katja in the same dress Luella wore for her first sizing up against Goobers. Tim sent Kyla chocolate covered strawberries on their anniversary. Kyla wasn't the only one excited to check them out! Luella got new rain boots in preparation for Hurricane/Tropical Storm Hanna. She's hoping for lots of puddles to jump and splash.

Luella sees Kyla wear Katja and decided today was her turn. Daddy, put Katja in the baby carrier! If we could have heard the judge, we'd know all about how to pick the best sheep. Kyla's former co-worker from the Broadmoor , Kirstie Phipps, along with her friends Jordan Harp and Simon Talbot visiting from England stopped by for Labor Day weekend! They're pretending to learn how to judge sheep too! Simon and Kirstie eating pulled lamb sandwiches at the food pavilion . Jordan enjoying his sandwich too! Tim and Luella going for crab cakes and peach sundaes.

Luella loves her new boots! Katja has an innie bellybutton! Katja had her two week appointment on August 28 th . She's 6 pounds 13 ounces and 19.25 inches. We have to go back in week to make sure she's gaining weight.

After spending a day in Baltimore at Dangerously Delicious Pies, Science Museum and paddle boats , we had everyone learn to pick crabs. We couldn't let the family leave without experiencing this Maryland treat! Luella loves the benefits of Tim teaching everyone to pick the crab meat from the steamed crabs. He'd pull out the meat and she'd eat it before he could! Picking crabs, or peanut butter and honey sandwiches well into the night! Yummy no matter what they ended up eating. It got a little late for some. Luella is a great big sister. She loves playing music to entertain her sister!

The extended family went to "ANNA" polis for the day. Isaac trying out the latest headgear found in gift shops all over Maryland. While in Annapolis they toured the US Naval Academy. On the way home they stopped at Rehoboth Beach in Delaware on the Atlantic Ocean. The Sikorski's spent a quiet day at home. Here's the first Goobers vs. Katja size photo.
