Last night Lynn, Stuart, Hailey and Ian Jackson came to spend the night so Lynn could teach Kyla how to make a fondant covered cake. Luella's been watching way too many cake shows on TV like Cake Boss and Ace of Cakes. She wants a three layer princess cake with gumballs because Kyla set five years old as the age to chew gum. Kyla's been watching those shows too much too, because she wants to try! Kyla, Lynn and Ian woke up early to work on making cakes for Kati and Luella. Kati is getting a Mickey Mouse cake and our model is as big as Ian! The party started and the parents stayed upstairs while the kids played downstairs. Luella's "boyfriend" Aiden came to the party and needed encouragement to join all the girls and festivities. It's a sea of pink and purple Minnie Mouse and Princess dresses! Today celebrates 6 years since Kyla and Tim got married in a church in front of God, family and friends in Faribault, Minnesota! They went to a fancy French restaurant in historic Occoquan . Delicious! Kevin, Kyla's brother, came to visit for the weekend, took our picture, and babysat the girls! Shortly after midnight on the 3rd, Kyla finished making Luella's Rapunzel costume! When Luella woke up, she tried it on and fell in love! It's so soft and lovely! It's very twirly too!

We went to Jo-Ann Fabrics today to get flowers for Luella's Rapunzel costume. The girls saw the huge display of Halloween costumes and had to start trying them on. Kati found the ball and chains. Luella was a witch with green hair. Kati wanted to be a witch with purple hair.

Kyla had to get a picture of Hurricane Katia on TV. It is possible that Hurricane Katia could ruin Katja and Luella's joint birthday party.

God blessed us at the start of the week with a beautiful sunset. Maybe a promise this week will be better than the last?

Besides watching Annie and jumping off the Barbie bed, we made the invitations to the girls' birthday party! Watch your mailboxes! Tim cleaned up the branches that were blown down during the hurricane. Clean up was just cleaning up the yard.
