Kiptopeke State Park
Tim made us pancakes, sausage and hot water for coffee. The girls had fun waiting for their breakfast.
Tim making his world-famous pancakes - but outside on a cast iron griddle.
The girls were being goofy. Luella is two going on thirteen. She got really moody that she couldn't eat breakfast that instant.
She got over it eventually and pretended to drink coffee with Tim.

Luella caught one! As she's holding it up to take the "I caught a whopper" pose, it moved and she freaked out a little bit. It was a black sea bass.

Luella got an ice cream for catching a fish!
Luella was too busy eating ice cream to notice that her pole caught another black sea bass. Tim reeled in this whopper!

Tim checked in at the office and found out that we made our reservations for a week later and it was booked Friday night 8/7/09 so we had to leave. We asked if there were any other available State Parks around and they told us that Occoneechee State Park was just down Highway 58 and if you get to Clarksville, you've gone too far. Sounded close, so we packed up around lunch time and drove to get there.
Here's a video of Luella catching her first fish!
