The 25th Annual Army Ten Miler.

Running partners Kyla and Jenny Rebolledo. We signed up to run the 25th Annual Ten Miler way back in April. We had fun training together through a spring and summer of multiple kids' colds, swimming lessons, changes of command, moving and vacations. We were so proud to finish!

During the Army Ten Miler, Uncle Phil watched Luella and Katja so both Tim and Kyla could race. He found a photo booth to take their picture! Thanks Uncle Phil!

The Golden Knights parachuted into the start line! Luella thought they were awesome!

Kyla met GEN Petraeus' daughter Anne at the garmet check station. Very cool to see her! She said she was honored to run that day too.

Jenny uncommonly happy to be running.

MILE 6 only 4 more to go! A high school band played very motivational music!

Kyla at the Capitol! Tim laughed at Kyla for taking so many pictures along the way. He was running to beat his time. Kyla was running because it was FUN! At least that's what she was trying to tell herself the whole TEN MILES!

Kyla and Jenny at the finish line! We did it! They ran in a time of 2:05:31. Kyla was 19,461st of 21,289 runners, 8,461st of 9,566 women, 1,680 of 1,869 women in their 30s, for a pace of 12:33.
Jenny got 19,640th overall, 8,460th of women, 1,807th of 1,966 women in their 20s. Wonder if that's because it's alphabetical, or age since we post the same times?

Jenny getting kisses from her husband Juan at the finish line! He ran a bit faster than we did.

Kyla getting kisses from Tim at the finish line! Tim also ran faster than we did. Tim ran it in 1:26:59, 6,227th of 21,289 total people, 4,794th of 11,690 men, 789th of 1,748 men in their 30s, for a pace of 8:41.

Smiling at the end! It was fun! Or was that the endorphins kicking in and taking over our bodies?

After we stretched and the Rebolledos left to take showers at their hotel room, we met for lunch at Ted's Montana Grill. Uncle Phil fell asleep at the table. Babysitting Luella and Katja while watching the race must have been a tough job!
