So many thoughts went through Kyla's head when she saw the late breaking news on Sunday night. She was getting ready to go to bed, but ended up on a 4-way phone call with her family planning a canoe trip. Kyla felt relief that the number 1 terrorist is out of the game. She felt happy that the families who lost loved ones on 9/11/01 could have some sense of closure. She felt angry that ten years of our lives have been controlled by this man's actions nearly 10 years ago. She felt sad that the world would see the drunk Georgetown University students celebrating outside the White House as "the American"
response to his death. As a Christian, Kyla can't "rejoice" that some one was killed, but feels that God will judge him appropriately.
Tim didn't get the news until his driver told him about it on his way into work. In 1998, Bin Laden bombed the Kenyan
Embassy and that killed whole families who were trying to get passports - in essence their 9/11/01. Tim said Kenya was much like the US in their "rejoicing" at his death.
