Disneyland! 8/15/09

On August 15th, the Sikorski's went to Disneyland! We stopped for breakfast at Disney Town, right outside the entrance to the park. Luella, Uncle Adam (aka Ralphie), Luella and Tim ready for the fun!

The Sikorski Family and Mickey! Kyla, Katja, Mike (Dave), Ralphie (Adam), Tim and Luella.

Every girl needs a castle, and we like Sleeping Beauty's. When can we move into this one?

Luella riding King Arthur's Carousel. She kept calling her horse, "My Little Pony".

Katja actually enjoyed riding the pony. She wasn't up to it at Hershey Park in May, but now it's August and Disneyland!

Ralphie, Luella, Kyla and Katja got to ride Dumbo!

Katja actually turned the knob to control our height on the ride.

Luella and Ralphie riding high in their blue Dumbo!

Waiting in line to ride the Alice in Wonderland's tea cups. The line actually wasn't too long.

After telling us she wanted to ride the pink tea cup, Luella ran straight for the purple tea cup.

Tim and Kyla tried to spin the tea cup as fast as possible to make Luella walk crooked when we got out. It didn't work because they have you sit for a few seconds after the ride stops before they let us out. Balance was regained before we stood up.

While waiting in line for the Matterhorn, Luella saw Alice in Wonderland!

Kyla and Katja got to meet the Mad Hatter and Alice while the guys and Luella were doing the Matterhorn. Every guy we met was fascinated with the stroller and the canopy in particular. The Mad Hatter was no exception.

Alice having a deep conversation with Katja.

Okay, the girls will look and smile for a picture.

The Queen of Hearts came and started picking on the Matterhorn staff!

On the Matterhorn, Luella said, "Daddy" in a worried voice. Tim took her picture. Apparently she is scared of the Yetis (abominable snow men). That is a look of pure terror, while still peeking to see what she's missing!

After a lunch in the New Orleans cafe' and a ride on the Jungle Cruise, we made it onto the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. It's dark and there is no flash photography, so this is the only photo we got of that ride. No idea what Kyla's thinking.

We made our way to the Winnie the Pooh ride. Scary dreams when you don't have hunny.

Then we got to meet WINNIE THE POOH!!!!! Luella and Pooh gave each other hugs...

And Eskimo kisses (nose rubs)...

And snuggles...

It was a good 2-3 minute love fest for Luella and Pooh. Considering he has so many kids in line to see him, we were amazed that he took the time to show all that love for Luella. This might be our Christmas family photo!

Then we saw Eeyore. Hugs for him, but not as much love.

Katja got to meet Tigger!

We even made him bounce!

Luella got her picture with Tigger too.

Not that we really knew who this guy was, but it's Brer Fox from the "Song of the South" musical.

We went to the Small World ride, but apparently didn't take any pictures. Then we made it into Toon Town which was mostly built for preschool/elementary school aged kids to play in the town. Here's Kyla and Luella breaking out of the Dog Pound. Helps when the bars are made of rubber.

Mickey the Mouse's house is in Toon Town. Luella was trying to play his piano.

Still waiting in line to see Mickey and in his barn he has an every instrument - instrument.

Yeah! The Mouse! Kyla, Katja, Steam Boat Willie (played by Mickey Mouse), Tim and Luella. He didn't get as much love as Winnie the Pooh either.

We decided to go home after meeting Mickey, but ran into a street parade. We decided to wait to see it. Luella reminded Kyla that she promised to get her a unicorn lollipop. Kyla's wondering WHY?!

Katja waiting for the parade to start.

Mike, Tim and Luella waiting for the parade. Ralphie was on the other side of Tim, but stayed out of the camera shot.

Grandpa Mike got the girls Mickey Mouse ears. Katja's says, "It's my birthday!" but she still hates hats.

Luella loves her Disney Princess ears with the crown on top!

Showing off her name stitched on the back.

We stopped for dinner at Disney Town, just outside the gates again. Katja ate about five Cheerios before she passed out on the table.

Luella drank half a glass of chocolate milk before she passed out on the table. Do we know how to wear them out, or what?!

Luella still sleeping as we're making our way to the trolley to take us back to the van and home to Grandpa's.
