Happy Halloween! (10/31/11)

The kids decided to play "Jake and the Neverland Pirates" from Disney Junior with the sled in the front yard. Since the snowstorm was a bust, we had to do something with our new sled. Kati was Jake, Peter was Cubby and Luella was Izzy, the sled of course was Bucky.
After Peter left, we decided to carve our pumpkins. Luella wanted to save the seeds to roast.
The guts were so cold! Mommy called them GUTS! OH NO!
The girls decided what designs should go on their pumpkins and were very happy about them! Kyla didn't trust them with knives, so she did all the carving with their directions, and didn't take during pictures.
The monsters showed off their scary jack o' lanterns!
Kati wanted Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
The girls poked holes in this pumpkin and decorated it themselves! We love the Mr. Potato Head skeleton pumpkin!
Luella wanted a spooky cat.
This is Kati's pumpkin she painted at Fifer Orchard in Delaware while we were up visiting the Evers.
Kati learned that the pants she's wearing are called gaucho pants. The way she says "gaucho pants" is so cute!
We all got dressed to take the girls trick-or-treating. Kyla was dressed as a witch for the first time ever. Luella was Rapunzel but the hair extensions didn't fit over her head. Tim was James Bond. Kati was Minnie Mouse.
Kati started to get chilly after about 10 houses.
Stick 'em up! She got a toy water gun at one house and didn't let it go for the rest of the night.
Our regal princess posed in the moonlight for her trick-or-treating photo.
Luella wanted to pose with her jack o' lantern.
We had to take pictures of the lit jack o' lanterns.
Luella's scary cat looks great with a candle.
The girls had to show off their trick-or-treating bounty!

Our neighborhood likes to get into the spirit of the night. One guy acted like he was sleeping and jumped out at the girls making them scream! Another family turned their garage into Harry Potter's world. It was a fun night being scared.

Kyla decided to put up a sign asking for a babysitter. We had one 13-year-old girl reply and she's been great! Thanks to Uncle Phil and Aunt Becky for handing out our candy!
