Christmas Day (12/25/11)

Santa ate FIVE cookies. He left ONE cookie!
The girls waited patiently for the rest of the family to wake up before they opened their Christmas presents.
Santa gave Kati a Cinderella baby dolly!
Luella got her American Girl doll who's a mermaid!
Kati loves her Cinderella dolly!
Santa gave Anna a Rapunzel baby doll!
The girls got Original Warm Fuzzy towels from our good friend Jenny Rebolledo!
Thank you Ms. Jenny!
Kyla and Tim think they got the best present ever!
We spent the afternoon at Peter's parent's new condo. We had some of the Schlieper family come over too! Lindsey and Isaac posed for their birthday photo on the calendar Kyla makes for the grandparents. Lindsey and Isaac were both born on February 27th. Lindsey is the youngest of Sylvia and UB Schlieper (Dan's sister).
Maren posed for her July 6th birthday picture.
Anna posed for her August 28th birthday picture.
Peter posed for his Veteran's Day birthday picture (November 11th).
Kirsten and Peter's anniversary picture, October 25th.
Here's a good panoramic photo of the gathering around the table.
Kyla's Aunt Sylvia Schlieper posed for her November birthday photo.
Uncle UB Schlieper posed for his March birthday photo.
A nice December anniversary photo for Uncle UB and Aunt Sylvia.
Gail Grunnet posed for her December birthday photo.
We caught Jim Grunnet off guard for his June birthday photo!
We love playing Five Crowns when we gather over the holidays. This time Gail's "black magic" failed her.
The other side of the table was quite intense.
Thank you Jim and Gail for hosting a very fun Christmas afternoon!

KIDS!

Luella picked out her own outfit. She was cold, so long sleeves and pants. Then she was hot, so flip-flops. She loves her hat, so that worked in her mind too. Katja just looking cute, so had to take her picture too! Bath time for the girls and Luella decided that making Katja's hair stick straight up means she's a boy. We really don't know where she gets this from! Sorry if you're offended by the baby nudity/ inadvertent mooning.

Tim plays Army in WV.

This is the Center for National Response. It's right off I-70 in West Virginia. It was part of the interstate, but the tunnel thru the mountain was too difficult for the state to maintain , so they let people train in there. They can make it rain, blow wind up to 40 mph, fires, explosions, all kinds of awesome training. Here's Tim's company at the entrance to the tunnel. Tim was playing Army while we were hosting Ginger before her big move. Tim and April Miller - team leaders discussing their missions from the day. Tim and his company commander, MAJ Alex Lovase discussing football, or something. Take cover! They have paintball gun attachments to their weapons so you can see where you got hit. One of the missions was to rappel down this hill... Then wade thru this tunnel for 1/4 mile in icy cold water to get to the objective site... As you can see, it was a really long day. Tim was the commander for this mission. The Soldiers had to traverse thru a collapsed tunnel....

Early Birthday Celebrations! (8/6/11)

Kyla found Goobers sleeping on Kati's diaper changing table this morning. He was so cute laying there, Kyla had to get the girls in on a the picture too. We decided to spend this Saturday afternoon celebrating Kati's birthday. We went to see Cars 2 in the movie theater. It was cute, but like most sequels, the original was better. Kati had a coupon for a free meal to Famous Dave's. It came with a Roman candle! Look at the shocked expression on her face with the BIG CANDLE! Kati tried to blow out her candle, but it just wouldn't stop! Luella on the other end of the flames wondered if she really needed her eyebrows! This kid loves her ice cream! Happy early 3rd birthday Katja Johanna!
