Good thing
Katja has little legs and the cat still fits in his cat carrier. This van is loaded to the gills. Someday it might be cheaper to fly and then we won't have the urge to pack everything both ways across this great country.

Luella is back there too behind Dan.

Karen called shotgun!

Kyla got to drive most of the trip, definitely the first leg.

At our first pit stop, showing just how loaded we are with Dan's seat folded down. We're almost done packing all the baby gear! Small glimmer of hope for the next trip.

Take a little
trippy down the mighty Mississippi! One state down, 3 to go for the night, 7 more until we're home in Virginia!

WOO
HOO! Love teaching the girls to cheer when we cross state lines!

We saw this bus on the interstate. The back half looked like sleeping compartments and the front half looked like a coach bus. Why didn't we think to invent that?!

Many hours cooped up in the back of a crowded van makes 3-year-
olds go crazy!

Thankfully sleeping can take care of hours of traveling on the road.

Then boredom sets in and
Katja found different digits to suck on. I think her thumb got too
pruney.

Little Miss Jealous can't let her sister get all the pictures taken of silly acts!

And the sun set on the first day of driving back and it was good. We stopped in Indiana, near the Ohio and Michigan borders.
