WDW Day 3, Hollywood Studios (12/1/10)

The girls had great behavior at EPCOT, so Mickey and Santa came with presents.
They got Jasmine and Snow White figurines and Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Pluto Christmas tree ornaments.
We stopped to watch a performance of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
Tim and Luella really got into the performance.
Katja danced all morning.
We got to play in the Toy Story street parade.
Kyla tried to get Kati up to the parachute, but those girls were really tall! We went to hula hoop later.
We went on the back lot tour and experienced an earthquake, fire and flood.
The torrential down pour didn't really get us terribly wet.
As we were leaving, we saw Mike Wazowski and James "Sully" Sullivan.
It was our first visit with the guys!

Here are the Mouseka Tools for making Minnie Mouse's birthday a wonderful surprise.

My Friends Tigger and Pooh helped Daisy with their Mouseka Tool. Then it was Minnie's surprise birthday party!


Tim took over video duty when the confetti fell from the ceiling and the party was over.

We were right at the corner of the parade route between parade and play time, so we played with the parachute, later hula hoops and Nerf balls.

We saw the performance of Lights, Camera, Action showing how car chases in the movies are made! Listen for Luella saying, "Cool!" multiple times. Katja managed to sleep through the really loud performance.

Kyla decided to video the whole character meet and greet experience with Mike Wazowski and Sully.

The girls blew kisses to Sully as we left for the night.

Luella picked out her own outfit. She was cold, so long sleeves and pants. Then she was hot, so flip-flops. She loves her hat, so that worked in her mind too. Katja just looking cute, so had to take her picture too! Bath time for the girls and Luella decided that making Katja's hair stick straight up means she's a boy. We really don't know where she gets this from! Sorry if you're offended by the baby nudity/ inadvertent mooning.

Tim plays Army in WV.

This is the Center for National Response. It's right off I-70 in West Virginia. It was part of the interstate, but the tunnel thru the mountain was too difficult for the state to maintain , so they let people train in there. They can make it rain, blow wind up to 40 mph, fires, explosions, all kinds of awesome training. Here's Tim's company at the entrance to the tunnel. Tim was playing Army while we were hosting Ginger before her big move. Tim and April Miller - team leaders discussing their missions from the day. Tim and his company commander, MAJ Alex Lovase discussing football, or something. Take cover! They have paintball gun attachments to their weapons so you can see where you got hit. One of the missions was to rappel down this hill... Then wade thru this tunnel for 1/4 mile in icy cold water to get to the objective site... As you can see, it was a really long day. Tim was the commander for this mission. The Soldiers had to traverse thru a collapsed tunnel....

Early Birthday Celebrations! (8/6/11)

Kyla found Goobers sleeping on Kati's diaper changing table this morning. He was so cute laying there, Kyla had to get the girls in on a the picture too. We decided to spend this Saturday afternoon celebrating Kati's birthday. We went to see Cars 2 in the movie theater. It was cute, but like most sequels, the original was better. Kati had a coupon for a free meal to Famous Dave's. It came with a Roman candle! Look at the shocked expression on her face with the BIG CANDLE! Kati tried to blow out her candle, but it just wouldn't stop! Luella on the other end of the flames wondered if she really needed her eyebrows! This kid loves her ice cream! Happy early 3rd birthday Katja Johanna!
