Back to Our Regular Schedule. (11/30/11)

We got our minivan back from the repair shop all shiny and brand-new looking!
Kati had dance class today. Her BFF Alyson Wofford is moving to Oklahoma over the weekend, so today was her last day in dance class.
Alyson and Kati have been dancing together for the last two dance seasons. They were in Creative Movement last year and Combo 3/4 year old this year. Ballet and tap are the combo.
Julie Wofford is Kyla's first official Air Force Wife friend. Best wishes to the Wofford family in Oklahoma!
After dance class, we picked up Luella and Rysa Wheeler from preschool. Kati added some accessories to her hair.
She added a lot of accessories to her hair.
Rysa also got a new hair-do with lots of hair accessories.
Tim said if we wanted his help setting up Christmas decorations, tonight was the night to do it. He goes back into work tomorrow.
Kyla put on her favorite decorations. Luella didn't feel the need to decorate the tree with us this year because our next door neighbor Jessica Thompson came over asking to play. They haven't seen each other in one whole week!
Kati found her little tree from last year. She had to use the extra gold sparkly balls to decorate her tree.
It's a boy tree! The balls are almost bigger than the tree!
Our traditional picture of Santa Claus Lane.
Most of this section was made by Tim's mom Theresa. Kyla had to add the Swedish angels.
The other side of Santa Claus Lane.
The Nutcrackers get their own section of the kitchen bar.
Another close up of Santa Claus Lane.

KIDS!

Luella picked out her own outfit. She was cold, so long sleeves and pants. Then she was hot, so flip-flops. She loves her hat, so that worked in her mind too. Katja just looking cute, so had to take her picture too! Bath time for the girls and Luella decided that making Katja's hair stick straight up means she's a boy. We really don't know where she gets this from! Sorry if you're offended by the baby nudity/ inadvertent mooning.

Tim plays Army in WV.

This is the Center for National Response. It's right off I-70 in West Virginia. It was part of the interstate, but the tunnel thru the mountain was too difficult for the state to maintain , so they let people train in there. They can make it rain, blow wind up to 40 mph, fires, explosions, all kinds of awesome training. Here's Tim's company at the entrance to the tunnel. Tim was playing Army while we were hosting Ginger before her big move. Tim and April Miller - team leaders discussing their missions from the day. Tim and his company commander, MAJ Alex Lovase discussing football, or something. Take cover! They have paintball gun attachments to their weapons so you can see where you got hit. One of the missions was to rappel down this hill... Then wade thru this tunnel for 1/4 mile in icy cold water to get to the objective site... As you can see, it was a really long day. Tim was the commander for this mission. The Soldiers had to traverse thru a collapsed tunnel....

Early Birthday Celebrations! (8/6/11)

Image
Kyla found Goobers sleeping on Kati's diaper changing table this morning. He was so cute laying there, Kyla had to get the girls in on a the picture too. We decided to spend this Saturday afternoon celebrating Kati's birthday. We went to see Cars 2 in the movie theater. It was cute, but like most sequels, the original was better. Kati had a coupon for a free meal to Famous Dave's. It came with a Roman candle! Look at the shocked expression on her face with the BIG CANDLE! Kati tried to blow out her candle, but it just wouldn't stop! Luella on the other end of the flames wondered if she really needed her eyebrows! This kid loves her ice cream! Happy early 3rd birthday Katja Johanna!
