A Day with the Grunnets (12/22/11)

Kyla and the girls drove up to the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN to spend the day with the Grunnets. Kyla's sister, Kirsten spent most of the day on the phone with her job. Maren shows how we all felt about that phone.
The girls waited somewhat patiently to see Santa.
The cousins all got to talk with Santa! Anna asked for a dolly. Kati asked for a baby doll. Luella asked for an American Girl doll and a pony. Isaac asked for a Kindle. Maren asked for an iPad and Santa told her he owned a TOY factory. She revised it to an iPod.
This Santa is quite funny and makes the girls laugh belly laughs!
 Pictures with Santa!
Kyla's brother Kevin and her nephew Isaac tried the height picture. Looks like Isaac is gaining on Uncle Kevin.
We went to IKEA for lunch. Luella had fun with her straw!
Kati had to have a hot dog that was not sold in the cafeteria, so Kyla had to go downstairs to the Market Place Cafe' to get her a hot dog.
Maren and Isaac posed nicely for a photo.
Kyla's brother-in-law Peter joined us for lunch. His great news: he was offered a job in Faribault at the State Prison as the psychologist! He spent lunch on the phone trying to come up with an offer for his starting salary!
 Kevin smiled great!
Kati loves her cousin Isaac! We think he might even like her too!
We went to dinner at Psycho Suzy's in Minneapolis, a place featured on Guy Fieri's Dinners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
They really did up the tiki theme, and sprinkled in some Christmas.
Kati ordered little sausages wrapped in bacon.
We ate a huge pizza! Our family really likes food pictures!
The guys ordered a different pizza.
The ladies' bathroom had the stalls painted in chalkboard paint.
Does anyone really wonder why girls go to the bathroom in groups?
There was a waterfall at the front entrance.
A Christmas frog rested near the waterfall.
Peter took Isaac and Anna home. Everyone else drove to Caribou Coffee before ending the night.
This coffee always makes Kyla smile!
