Last day in Phoenix (11/25/11)
The girls slept with their new favorite blankets last night and cuddled in them all morning. Kati is a dragon.
She even has a tail!
Luella is a kitty.
She has a tail too!
Uncle Ralphie is good for snuggles too!
The girls made more rock formations. This had a duck, a turtle and a volcano.
A lion and a baby were in this rock formation.
The cousins had to pose with cactus.
Grady and Kaeli live in Fresno, California. Luella and Kati live in Woodbridge, Virginia. Saguaro cactus only grows in Arizona and the very northern part of Mexico, immediately south of Arizona.
More cousin photos with the saguaro cactus.
A great close-up of the cousins!
Grady is a Boy Scout and not afraid of the cactus spines.
Kaeli is also a Boy Scout and not afraid of the cactus spines!
Hugs for G'Pa!
Hugs for G'Ma!
Luella gives G'G'Ma super snuggles!
Waving see-ya-later to G'G'Pa, G'G'Ma and Aunt Kris in front of G'Pa and G'Ma's house.
We drove over to Steve and Kim's house. Steve has 19 motorcycles in his garage.
This is his newest rebuild.
The kids went into the backyard to play.
The fort platform doesn't have sides, so the little girls didn't get to spend much unsupervised time up there.
We all started playing basketball.
Kati went in for a slam dunk!
Luella wanted to dunk it too.
Kati used the ottoman as her own trampoline.
When she tired out, she slept in the ratchet strap hammock.
The guys played another game of football.
The girls played in the fort and hammock with the lemons the tree dropped. Lemon perfume, anyone?
Zack showed off his electric motorcycle. Luella got to sit on it.
Kati wanted to sit on it too. Neither girl can ride their bike without training wheels (darn those hills in Virginia) so we didn't let them turn it on and ride.
Zack took his motorcycle for a spin.
Then it was Kaeli's turn.
Grady got the last turn before the battery lost power.
After lunch, Ralphie, Tim, Kyla, Luella and Kati drove to California. We stopped at Quartzsite, AZ like always! It's the last town before the California/Arizona border.
We got a nice start to a pretty sunset.
Tim tried to get Luella to be a "Boy Scout" and touch the cactus between the spines, but she doesn't believe us enough to try for herself.
We stopped for dinner at Famous Dave's BBQ in Palmdale, California. Kati loved the sauce remover. We stayed the night at a hotel and Ralphie went home to sleep in his own bed.
