Purple People Eater's Christmas Party (12/16/11)

Today was Luella's class's Christmas party! Penny Clark, Tiger's mom, read the Christmas story.
The kids acted it out using our Little People Nativity set while she read.
Then it was time to make crafts.
They made Baby Jesus in the manger! Penny was in charge of this craft.
Then they made reindeer puppets with their cutout hands as the antlers.
Here's Luella and her reindeer. Myles' mom Megan engineered this craft.
Andrew's mom Veronica helped the kids make reindeer food to help Santa's reindeer find their way to our houses.
Karen Stokes, the preschool director, came by in her snowman hat.
Since these were the big kids, they were trusted with birthday candles on their Jesus' birthday cupcakes.
All the kids had to show off their tongues dyed green from the frosting. Here's Luella.
Kati got to come to her big sister's class to help out, and lucky girl got in on the snacks and some crafts.
Here is Emily Dang.
Andrew Ransom.
Tiger Clark.
Julia Stewart.
Sydney Phillips.
Bryan Gardner.
Noah MacFarlane. His mom Diane made the cupcakes.
Myles Krenz.
The kids played freeze dance. The boys started break dancing, so the girls had to try too.
Waiting in the circle for dismissal. This class has many older siblings and parents who realize this is probably the last year where the kids can celebrate Jesus' birth during a CHRISTMAS party in school. So they did as much Christian-focus as they could before the next 12 years of public education makes this a WINTER party.
Luella has her school bag with her Santa!
This was the present Luella made for her parents! She is such an adorable elf!
These were the presents Kati made for her parents! What a cute terra cotta snowman bell and sparkly snowflake!
Kyla took these pictures for our landlord to show how half of "our" backyard was cut down for the new housing development. The trees weren't really on our landlord's property, but it was sad to watch them go. We can now see the stop light at the corner of Minnieville and Spriggs without the leaves on the trees. It feels like we have a lot less privacy with half the trees and none of the leaves.
Kyla also took this picture for our landlord. The gutter is not sloped to the downspout, but opposite.
Santa Claus is coming to town during bath time!
