Leaving on a Jet Plane (11/22/11)

We tried our best to get to Baltimore/Washington International Airport in time for our flight to Phoenix tonight. The drive that normally takes 90 minutes turned into a 4 hour drive in the pouring rain and accidents every mile. We got to the rental car return in time to watch our flight take off. (We still have a rental car from when the guy sideswiped us taking Dan and Karen to the airport. Thankfully the other driver really did have Allstate and his insurance is paying for everything, including new car seats for the girls.)
We turned in the rental car just in case they had another flight out of BWI that night. They didn't. Luckily we had options and one was taking the 7am flight the next morning from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. We went for that option, but it meant going back and renting another car for the  night to get us to the next airport. We were excited to find that all our luggage for a week fit into the "trunk" of a compact car! We drove as far as we could before deciding we were too hungry to drive any farther. Luckily it was miles from our photographer's house and she drove by to drop off our family photos so we could hand deliver them to our family in Phoenix! We got a hotel room and crashed for a few hours before flying attempt #2.
